Every decision you make plays a part in your greater destiny. It’s easy to notice the giant, epic life-changing decisions you make, but you must also be careful about the tiny decisions.
If you pay attention to the lives of successful men and women, it is in the tiny decisions they make that determine their greatness.
A winning tiny decision you can make is to only allow empowering thoughts to stay in your mind. Constantly practice clearing your mind, so you can make room for bigger success ideas to come.
By getting better at making rewarding tiny decisions, you prepare yourself when the time comes to make giant decisions.
2. Feel Good About Yourself
Positive thinking can be made stronger by adding positive feeling.
Rhonda Byrne explains the power of positive feeling in her book The Power. She explains that the most powerful feeling you can feel is love.
Therefore, love yourself.
Here are some tiny acts to give you boosts of love energy:
1. Wake up early in the morning for some quite personal peace time. Spend this time doing what’s comfortable and peaceful for you, such as 15 minutes reading or listening to meditation sounds.
2. Take a shower before going to bed. Personally, I rarely did this before because I thought it wasn’t worth the half hour. However, going to bed cleaner can help you wake up feeling more refreshed than not.
3. Avoid Choices That Can Cause Pain
Pain isn’t necessarily physical pain. Anthony Robbins says people will go to greater lengths to avoid pain than they would to experience pleasure.
However, many people decide to pursue short-term pleasure. This ends up in long-term pain.
What you want to do is accept short-term pain to get long-term pleasure. For example, pain in this context could mean doing more research in your leisure hours to start your own business. Another example could be to plan what you eat to stay healthy and productive.
4. Reward Yourself When Doing Good
Jack Canfield also advocates celebrating your tiny successes. After sending his manuscript of Chicken Soup for the Soul to the publisher, Jack Canfield and his team opened up a bottle of champagne to celebrate their success.
If you’re doing the right kind of hard work, then you deserve a little play time. It doesn’t have to be giant. In fact, it’s better that it isn’t giant so you aren’t distracted from your goal of amazing wealth.
Tiny celebrations could include a double scoop ice cream, or treating yourself to a plate of exotic fruit while taking a relaxing hot bath.
The purpose of tiny celebrations acts as checkpoints for you. These checkpoints help you remember where you are along the journey to create giant wealth.
